Pig Price is $750 per pig. Deposit is $150 and is non-refundable.

Whether this is your first family pig, or you are adding an additional pig to your family, our pigs will include everything they need, and you need to start off with.

Price with pig, includes:

  • Wellness Exam

  • Microchip

  • Bordetella and Tetanus vaccinations up to date for 1 year.

  • Worming up to date for the first 6 months.

  • JPAR Registration (at request and if applicable to piglet)

  • Socialization with humans of all ages and other animals.

  • Litter box and kennel training.

Male piglets will be neutered prior to going home.

Female piglets will be sent home under a spay / no breeding contract.

If preferred, females can be spayed prior to going home at an additional cost of $250 added to the pig price. Pig spays are very tedious, complex and invasive procedures. Pigs have a different anatomy compared to a dog or cat, which makes spaying more challenging and costly. Females to be spayed will need to meet a required weight of 5 lbs. at the time of surgery to reduce risks involved with the use of anesthesia.

Each piglet will receive a going home care package that will include a pet carrier, blanket, harness and leash, sample bags of organic feed, coat supplement and treats, as well as information on miniature pig care and a vetting record.

Breeding rights can be purchased and will only be sold to established reputable breeders. Breeding rights are $1200 per Juliana and will include a JPAR registration.

Payment:

Your pig does not need to be paid in full until he/she is ready to go home with you. However, we do require that a non-refundable deposit of $150 is paid upfront to reserve an available pig or to hold a spot on our waiting list to pick a pig within an upcoming litter. Spots on the waiting lists are determined in the order that deposits are received.

Your deposit will go towards the full price of the pig. After your $150 deposit is paid, you will owe a remaining balance of $600. If spaying, shipping or ground transport has been discussed, additional costs to cover will be added to your remaining balance. Payments towards your total remaining balance can be paid in payments during the wait or in full at pickup when your pig is ready to go home with you.

Payment is required in full on the day of pickup or two days prior to flight or transport date to ensure all costs and fees are covered at the time of departure. Failure to pay the remaining balance as agreed upon will result in the cancellation of purchase. The reserved pig will be forfeited and returned to an available status. There will be no exceptions!

Piglets will be flown out of Savannah, Georgia or Atlanta, Georgia, whichever is best.

International shipping costs are different and more costly. International shipping requires a Private Airline, Permits, International Health and Acclimation Certificate, Blood Testing and/or Tags (per entry country requirements), an IATA / Private airline approved crate, live animal accessories. In most cases, isolation is required prior to shipping or upon arrival.

If you are looking into having a piglet shipped internationally, please contact for personalized information and cost estimate.

Ground Transportation:

If shipping feels uncomfortable, we are able to setup Ground Transportation for the delivery of your piglet. We do not hire an outside service for transport, meaning that piglets will remain in our care for the duration of the trip and will be delivered personally. We are able to meet you where you are or where you want to be, whether that is halfway or all of the way. Cost is $0.55 cents per mile and will be calculated by round trip miles to be driven. Ground transport is usually during weekends and very possible but is not a guarantee, so please have a pickup backup plan if we simply cannot fit it into our schedule. Ground Transport greatly depends on what our daily life schedules allow and location of travel.

Shipping and Ground Transportation costs are the buyers' responsibility and will be added as an additional cost to the price of the pig.

If neither is needed, piglet pickup will be in Claxton, Georgia unless otherwise discussed.

More Info and Commonly Asked Questions:

What breed of pigs do you breed?

We specialize in breeding Juliana Miniature Pigs and focus mostly on the Juliana breed. However, we do own a few American Miniature Pigs that we inter-breed with our Julianas from time to time. Please inquire on specific litter breed.

How big are your pigs?

Our adult pigs are fully mature and are 4+ years old. Individual heights average between 13-15 inches tall and weight ranges between 50-70lbs. Our pigs live an active lifestyle and are fed a well-balanced diet consisting of organic pellets and fresh veggies.

Can you guarantee future adult weight of our piglet?

We will make no guarantee of the eventual adult weight of your piglet. What determines eventual size depends on many factors such as genetics, diet, exercise and the conditions in which your pig is kept.

Height and body structure of your pig is solely controlled by genetics. Weight is NOT! I cannot stress enough how important it is that you feed your pig the recommended amounts. Pigs always want extra food. They do not have a "shut of valve" in their bodies. They will eat themselves sick if they are allowed. Keeping your pig on a proper diet is imperative for a healthy pig and longevity. An overweight pig is similar to an overweight human, it can cause bad joints, depression, fat blindness, a shorter lifespan, etc.

Are you open for visits?

Although, we have been open to the public in the past, we no longer allow visits of any kind. When making this decision, we considered many factors.

Biohazard precaution being the biggest. You'd be amazed at what can be picked up off the streets or within businesses on your clothes and shoes before arriving. Our piglets will become pets to future families and therefore biohazard measures are taken very seriously to ensure their health and well-being while in our care.

Our farm is our home. There have been times that we've came home to our pigs having unexpected visitors and visitors showing up during late hours. Often, new visitors handling piglets has caused stress to litters and their bonding mothers.

Considering how tough the postpartum / nursing period is for new mothers after a delivery, our right to ensure that our family feels safe at all times and that we keep a healthy environment for our piglets to thrive inwe feel this decision is ultimately for the best.

When are piglets able to go home?

Piglets are able to go home with you when they reach a minimum of between 6-8 weeks of age, are fully weaned / eating solids and are vetted.

We do NOT sell "bottle babies". A bottle baby is an underage piglet who still requires milk and should still be with his or her mother. Are they cute? Absolutely! Is it safe? Absolutely NOT! Bottle babies are NOT encouraged as bottle feeding a piglet heavily risks aspiration and can be deadly. It is quite rare that a mother pig rejects a piglet and if so, we have the sole responsibility to deliver you with a sound, healthy piglet.

THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS!

Do you offer boarding?

We do not offer boarding at this time. We are able to give recommendations of places who offer this service to help assist with your boarding needs.

Do you provide a health contract?

Our pigs are guaranteed to be in good health and free of visible signs of infections, contagious or communicable diseases at the time of pickup. All piglets will receive their Bordetella and Tetanus vaccinations, and 1st and 2nd dose of dewormer, prior to going home. Vaccines will be up to date for 1 full year and worming will be up to date for the first 6 months.

It is encouraged and highly recommended that you keep a worming routine of every 6 months or every spring and fall. This is to prevent any internal or external parasites that are common to a pig's environment. These parasites can cause health problems and reduce the overall well-being of a pig. A good worming routine will help ensure your pigs health is kept best.

Although we do not offer a health contract, our past purchasers are our best references, and we will be more than happy to provide as many as you'd like. We can also provide our veterinarians information to verify quality of care.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept deposits and payments through PayPal, Venmo or Cash App. We do not accept Zelle at this time. Deposits and Payments can be made through the links provided in the "Availability and Payment" page of our website.

Terms and Conditions of Purchase:

South Georgia Miniature Pigs reserves the right to refuse business. We have the responsibility to ensure appropriate placements. If we feel that the placement is not appropriate or suitable for any reason, we will refuse sale. We have a responsibility to place our pigs in a secure, permanent home that will mutually benefit both the pig and the prospective owners.

Life and nature are not to be controlled, so if by rare and unfortunate circumstance, your reserved piglet passes away while in our care, you will be given the option of choosing another piglet at an equal or lesser value.

Please understand that communication is very important! We ask that families keep an open form of communication at all times, especially if you choose to be placed on our waiting list. Once piglets are born, we will begin contacting families in the order in which they were placed on the waiting list. Prior to sending in your deposit, we ask for multiple forms of contact. If you are contacted multiple times through many different forms such as a call, text, message or email and we do not receive a response from you within 48 hours, we will send a notice that your place in line will be forfeited and set aside until you are able to respond. We will then move forward with the next family on the waiting list. Please understand that we have an obligation to be fair to the families who have kept communication open and available at all times. We will not chase you down for a response or have ours or others time wasted.

We are not a boarding service, so please be considerate and have a plan for pickup in place for the timeframe you are given to when your piglet will be ready to go home with you. Piglets are to be picked up within 14 days of being ready. If more time is needed to make arrangements, we will require the full remaining balance to be paid off to ensure the piglet will be picked up. If your piglet is not picked up within 21 days of being ready, we will charge an additional $5 per day for additional expenses and housing.

Once your pig leaves our care and you take full possession and accept ownership of your pig, he/she becomes your responsibility. We will not be held liable to cover any additional expenses or veterinary bills obtained after your pig goes home with you.

In the event that you are no longer able to care for your pig, we will gladly accept your pig back into our care or we will help you to re-home your pig. Be advised that when surrendering your pig back into our care, there will be no reimbursement of any kind.

By submission of your deposit to South Georgia Miniature Pigs, it will be assumed that you've read, acknowledge, have complete understanding and agree to all "Terms and Conditions of Purchase" listed above.
